Steven Leyva, president and CEO of the Sugarflake Bakery chain, is heading the landmark business that operated on Ridge Road in Lyndhurst for nearly 70 years before falling on hard times a decade ago, according to theobserver.com.

Leyva, who operates stores in Westwood, Wyckoff and Fair Lawn, is excited to be opening in the space Mazur’s has occupied and been known for nearly eight decades, the observer.com said. He believes that with his experience in retail bakeries and the hard work and expertise of his staff, Mazur’s will once again be known as a destination.
