Train Cars Overturn After Derailment: Linden PD A 90+ tank railcar train derailed in Linden on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 15, police said. At 7 a.m., police responded to reports of a train derailment near Tremley Point Road and found an industrial tank railcar stopped on the tracks near the Conrail Garden State Secondary line at Road to Grasselli, officers said. Eight railcars were derailed from the track, two of which fell onto their side, police said. None of the tanks appear to be breached and there were no injuries, police said. Ex-Amtrak Engineer Cleared In Deadly Philadelphia Train Derailment A former Amtrak engineer has been cleared in a deadly train derailment in Philadelphia in 2015. Brandon Bostian's train was going 106 mph — more than double the speed limit on the tracks — on an S-curve when he slammed on the brakes in Frankford Junction in May 2015. The train, headed to Washington D.C. from New York City, jumped the tracks, killing eight people and sending 185 to the hospital.
