Lester Williams, 54, was speeding south on Anderson Avenue in the 2015 Honda Accord late Saturday when he saw a police car and hit the brake, rapidly slowing down, Deputy Police Chief Vincent Capano said. It began when Detective Lt. Michael Antista saw a 2015 Mercedes Benz E350 and a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee go through a red light on First Street near Hackensack High School last Friday, Capt. North Bergen Man Charged In Car Crash That Killed Woman, 20 A North Bergen man who was involved in a June motor-vehicle crash that left a woman dead has been charged with death by auto and other offenses, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday.  Fernando Batista, 24, was arrested Oct. 21 and was also charged with assault by auto and possession of marijuana.
