Gotcha! Police Converge, Burglary Duo Caught Redhanded In Northvale Police from neighboring towns converged Thursday afternoon to capture a pair of burglars who broke into a Northvale home. A 911 call alerted police to a burglary in progress on Snedeker Place at 1:40 p.m. May 18, Northvale Police Chief Howard Ostrow said. Ostrow’s officers and their colleagues from Norwood were the first on the scene, the chief said. Norwood police immediately grabbed a suspect in the backyard of the burglarized home, Ostrow said. Hudson Handyman Caught Masturbating Near Job Site, Police Say Norwood police arrested a Hudson County handyman after two female passersby said they saw him masturbating in his vehicle. Ernesto Martinez, 34, of West New York was working a job in the area when the women told police they saw him busy doing something else while parked on Rio Vista Drive around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Police Chief Jeff Krapels said. Martinez drove away but was stopped and arrested by police a short time later, the chief said.
