79-Year-Old Hoboken Woman Killed While Riding Bike Was Prominent Quilter In March 2004, Margaret "Peggy" McGeary, a Hoboken woman who was working as a sign-maker, was on foot when she was hit by an SUV. Incredibly, the then-64-year-old suffered no broken bones and was able to leave the hospital that day (although she would spend several months in physical therapy).  McGeary's injuries did leave her unable to continue working as a sign maker, but did not prevent her from pursuing her passion, quilting and sewing, as a full-time career.
