Victim Hit By Freight Train In Paterson Hospitalized A person struck by a freight train in Paterson overnight Thursday was hospitalized with severe injuries, responders said. The Susquehanna and Western Railroad train struck the victim in the area of East 28th Street and 19th Avenue shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sept. 6, they said. City police, firefighters and EMS workers responded. The railroad temporarily stopped its traffic. The victim was brought to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson.
