The crash occurred at the corner of Prescott Street and Hardenburgh Avenue around 9 a.m. May 26. A medical chopper was summoned at first. Roaring Shed Fire Doused In Bergen A July 4th fire consumed a shed and damaged two homes in Cresskill. The fire ignited just 15 feet from the Beechwood Road home just off Knickerbocker Road shortly before 3:30 p.m. Monday, responders said. Everyone in the house got out OK and no injuries were reported. The house and a neighbor's house sustained some damage, as did nearby trees and a length of wooden fencing. Dumont Pedestrian Struck In Cresskill, Demarest Driver Cited A 40-year-old pedestrian from Dumont was struck and injured crossing a Cresskill street Tuesday night, authorities said. A Cresskill Fire Department EMS unit took her to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening after a 2011 Mercedes Benz hit her on County Road at the intersection of Union Avenue just after 6 p.m., Detective Sgt. Jason Lanzilotti said. The 66-year-old driver from Demarest received a summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk, he said.
