Elizabeth BOE Approves Purchase Of Closed Catholic School Property For $5.5 Million The Elizabeth school district’s board of education unanimously approved the purchase of a former Catholic school property known as the Benedictine Academy. The resolution to purchase the $5.5 million property, which closed at the end of the 2019-2020 school year, was made during a Wednesday afternoon meeting with Elizabeth BOE President Jerry Jacobs, NJ.com reports.
