Oscar Ramirez, 27, is accused of grabbing a 23-year-old woman from behind as she walked down 46th Street around 11:30 p.m. Ramirez threatened her with a sharp object and then pulled her into Grove Church Cemetery, where she was assaulted, the North Bergen woman told police about an hour after she said the attack occurred.
Ramirez, who was arrested Wednesday, has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual contact while armed, kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault during the commission of a crime, armed robbery and related weapons offenses.
A detention hearing is scheduled for Nov 6. Ramirez was being held in the Hudson County jail.
