Reymundo Rodriguez took the 59-year-old victim's money as he was counting it inside Eddy's Bar, 504 Kennedy Blvd., then ran off, Amato said.

Rodriquez returned to the bar for his cell phone, which he'd left behind, according to police. His victim, who was still at the bar, confronted Rodriguez and demanded his money back. Rodriguez punched the man twice and fled the bar once again, police said

He was caught near 21st St. and Avenue C. He was charged with aggravated assault, theft and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and was being held at the Hudson County jail.
