The data reflects the average total residential property taxes paid in each municipality, not including credits or deductions. Several towns saw increases of more than $1,000 year over year. Demarest rose from $24,736 in 2024 to $26,108 in 2025. Tenafly climbed from $23,833 to $25,123. Alpine increased from $22,581 to $23,291.
