And with it: possible snow showers and squalls.

Toppled trees and power lines could cause sporadic outages.

A high-wind advisory was in effect in both counties Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Wednesday. Winds then will remain blustery though not as powerful during the day Wednesday.

The service urged caution, particularly while driving.

Experts also urged residents and business owners to secure trash and recycling cans, bins and lids, and to put away or tie down anything else that could fly around.
