Special Needs Students OK After School Van Catches Fire In Glen Rock
UPDATE: Two special needs students and three workers were safely removed to a nearby store after a school van caught fire Thursday afternoon in Glen Rock. Fair Lawn and Glen Rock firefighters doused the blaze outside an office building on Harristown Road near the northbound Route 208 exit ramp to South Maple Avenue, borough Police Sgt. Bryan Scott said. The driver had pulled into the safe spot and got everyone off after spotting smoke coming from the engine compartment, Scott said. Ridgewood, Glen Rock Police Nab Shoplifting Crew Led By Career Offender
At 50 years old, Barry Green has spent most of his adult life behind bars. He was back there Thursday after Ridgewood and Glen Rock police teamed up to grab him and other accused members of a shoplifting crew – all of whom were wanted on several warrants from other towns. Driver Hospitalized After Mustang Ragtop, Pickup Truck Crash In Glen Rock
A driver was hospitalized with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening after her Mustang convertible collided with a commercial pickup truck Wednesday afternoon in Glen Rock. Both vehicles were towed after the crash at the intersection of Hamilton and South Maple avenues, pushing the sports car onto the sidewalk. First-responding police officers rendered first aid.
