Witnesses Point Wayne Police To Pair In Snatch-And-Grab Fragrance Theft WAYNE, N.J. -- Thanks to witnesses, Wayne police snagged a pair of snatch-and-grab thieves who fled a local store with nearly two dozen bottles of perfume, authorities said. Several witnesses to the Bath and Body Works theft at the Preakness Shopping Center snapped cellphone shots of the suspects and the getaway car, a Ford Escape that township police stopped on Alpine Drive, Detective Capt. Laurence Martin said. Strewn across the back seat was the more than $300 of stolen mist fragrance bottles, along with a crack pipe, he said.
