Terminated Trauma Surgeons Sue Humc Over Age Discrimination A group of trauma surgeons are suing Hackensack University Medical Center claiming they were fired because of their age. The suit was filed in March in Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County. The surgeon group, New Jersey Trauma Critical Care Associates, says the hospital used their skills to obtain a Level 1 Trauma Center verification from the American College of Surgeons, only to be fired without cause and replaced with younger and less experienced trauma surgeons.
