Ford is recalling more than 148,000 vehicles across the US after two major defects were linked to increased crash risks, officials said.
The first recall affects 123,611 vehicles, including F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator models from 2017 and 2018, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The pickups and SUVs can leak brake fluid, potentially reducing front-wheel braking.

Death Of Popular Clifton Woman, 55, Hit By SUV Ruled Accidental
UPDATE: The death of a popular Clifton woman struck while crossing a Clifton street late last year was ruled an accident, records show.
Teresa Toyco, 55, was crossing the street in a torrential downpour at Clifton and Colfax Avenues in the late afternoon of Nov. 26 when she was struck by a 2004 Ford Explorer, the accident report says.
An off-duty police officer found Toyco unconscious in the middle of the street and began efforts to save her life, it says.
Toyco was brought to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Elmwood Park Man, 55, Struck, Killed By SUV, Ruled Accidental
A 55-year-old Elmwood Park man was struck and killed by an SUV on westbound Broadway (Route 4) early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Hitendrakumar Bhatt was struck by a Ford Explorer outside the 7-Eleven in what was ruled an accident, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.
"No charges will be filed," the chief told Daily Voice.
Responders included borough police, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Fatal Accident Investigation Unit and the county sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification, which collected evidence.
The road was closed for the investigation, causing major delays.
