Hackensack Woman, 71, Suffers Severe Head Injury At Fair Lawn Venue A 71-year-old Hackensack woman was hospitalized with a severe head injury after she took a bad fall at a Fair Lawn catering hall, authorities said. CPR was conducted on the unresponsive victim after she tripped and hit her head on a stool while dancing at the Craftsman shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, April 6, Police Sgt. Eric Eleshewich said. She was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson. Fair Lawn EMS and St. Joe's ALS responded along with borough police, who reviewed video of the accident.

Driver Hospitalized After Fair Lawn Crash Dumps Load Of Lumber A driver was injured when his truck slammed into a guard rail, dumping a load of lumber near a busy Fair Lawn intersection. The Blue Ridge Lumber driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by a Fair Lawn EMS ambulance following the crash on Plaza Road near Berdan Avenue shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18. A team of co-workers from the Fair Lawn lumber company brought a huge forklift and cleaned up the mess. A heavy-duty wrecker removed the truck. Fair Lawn police are investigating the cause. Boyd A. Driver Hospitalized In Route 208 Crash A driver was hospitalized with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening after rolling a sedan Wednesday afternoon on Route 208 in Fair Lawn. The northbound highway was jammed after the Subaru Legacy landed on its driver's side under the Fair Lawn Avenue overpass shortly after 3 p.m. July 26. Sedan Slams Into Fair Lawn Bank Building A sedan slammed into a Fair Lawn bank building early Sunday evening, causing major damage to both. The Hyundai mounted the sidewalk, plowed through bushes and rammed the corner of the Provident Bank branch on River Road at Hopper Avenue around 5:15 p.m. The adult female driver refused medical attention for what appeared to be minor injuries.
