Sedan Flips SUV, Hits Empty School Bus In Mahwah
No serious injuries were reported after a sedan struck an SUV -- sending it rolling -- and then careened into an empty school bus outside a Mahwah housing development early Wednesday. A Chevy Tahoe was headed north on Campgaw Road when it was struck by a BMW that had just pulled out of the Rio Vista development, responders said. The Tahoe rolled and landed on its wheels, they said. The BMW, meanwhile, continued into the intersection of Seminary Road, where it struck the bus. Police and EMS responded.

Ridgewood Firefighters Free Crash Victim
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the driver of an SUV that collided with another vehicle in Ridgewood Friday night. Village EMS took two victims of the crash at South Monroe Street and West Ridgewood Avenue to The Valley Hospital. None of the injuries was considered life-threatening, responders said. ? Police Seek Vehicle That Bicyclist Said Hit Him On Route 46 In Teterboro
Moonachie police sought the public's help Monday finding a vehicle that a Hasbrouck Heights bicyclist said struck him in Teterboro on his way to work last week. The 48-year-old man bicyclist walked to the Shell service station on Franklin Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights around 3:30 a.m. last Tuesday, Sept. 18, Moonachie Detective Sgt. Anthony Fugniti said. He told police he'd been struck from behind a short time earlier while riding on the dirt path on eastbound Route 46 in Teterboro, the sergeant said. The vehicle then took off, the man said. Police Suspect DWI In Hawthorne Crash
A collision in Hawthorne led to charges against one of the drivers, whom police suspected of driving under the influence. Borough police, firefighters and EMS responded to Tuesday's crash involving a Jeep and Volkswagen Jetta -- whose driver had to be extricated -- at the intersection of Goffel Road and Warburton Avenue. One driver was expected to be taken into custody for processing by police after being released from the hospital. At least one other occupant of one of the vehicles was hospitalized, as well. Medical Episode Triggers Ridgewood Crash
A driver having an apparent medical episode was involved in a crash Wednesday that sent both vehicles off a Ridgewood roadway onto nearby lawns. The driver was taken by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center following the crash in front of 522 North Maple Avenue. No other injuries were reported. A flatbed tow truck removed both wrecks from the scene. Bicyclist Struck By SUV Seriously Injured In Paramus
An SUV struck and seriously injured a bicyclist who cracked the vehicle's windshield Thursday on Paramus Road in Paramus. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center after being struck just south of West Midland Avenue. The visibly distraught driver remained at the scene and was hospitalized, as well. A flatbed tow truck lifted the SUV off the damaged bicycle and removed the vehicle from the scene. Driver Hospitalized After Mustang Ragtop, Pickup Truck Crash In Glen Rock
A driver was hospitalized with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening after her Mustang convertible collided with a commercial pickup truck Wednesday afternoon in Glen Rock. Both vehicles were towed after the crash at the intersection of Hamilton and South Maple avenues, pushing the sports car onto the sidewalk. First-responding police officers rendered first aid. Suspected Medical Emergency Sends SUV Into Teaneck Utility Pole
TEANECK, N.J. -- Responders believe a driver suffered a medical emergency before her SUV slammed into a utility pole Thursday afternoon in Teaneck, shattering it and downing a transformer and various wires. Teaneck police, firefighters and EMS responded to the 2:15 p.m. crash on East Lawn Drive, which knocked out power to more than 135 area customers, according to a PSE&G outage map. SUVs Crash Outside Englewood IHOP
ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- There was no immediate word on the extent of injuries Thursday morning after SUVs crashed in front of the Englewood IHOP. Police, firefighters and EMS responded to the North Dean Street crash just before 10:30 a.m. The driver of the second SUV in the photo required medical attention after the vehicle struck the first one as it turned to enter the restaurant parking lot.

Elevated CO Levels Force Evacuation Of Lyndhurst Apartment Complex
LYNDHURST, N.J. -- Six residents of a Lyndhurst apartment complex refused medical attention after being affected by elevated carbon monoxide levels overnight, authorities said. Firefighters began evacuating The Station at Lyndhurst Apartments on Chubb Avenue around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, residents said. PARAMUS, N.J. -- A driver injured his arm Tuesday afternoon when his car slammed into the Vitamin Shoppe on Route 4 in Paramus, knocking a hole in the wall and sending products tumbling. The four-door Hyundai veered off the westbound highway near Spring Valley Road and struck the building after a collision with another car. Neither the other driver nor store employees were injured.
