Bicyclist Hospitalized In Teaneck Hit-And-Run: Car Found, Driver Sought
A search continued on Thursday for a hit-and-run driver who Teaneck police said sent a 55-year-old bicyclist from Oradell to the hospital. The victim told police he was riding on East Forest Avenue between Teaneck Road and Arlington Avenue when he was struck around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, Teaneck Police Chief Andrew R. McGurr said. The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that the chief said didn't appear life-threatening. Teaneck Police Nab Out-Of-Town Minor With Loaded Gun, Three Others Following Car Burglary Spree
Teaneck police seized four out-of-town teens -- one of them an underage boy who they said was carrying a loaded gun, a high-capacity magazine and hollow-point bullets -- after flooding local streets following a 14-vehicle burglary spree. A vehicle also had been stolen from a Cedar Lane residence before being abandoned in Hackensack during the spree, police said. HIM? Englewood Liquor Store Thief Had Distinctive Disguise, Walk
He covered himself with a huge sheet of plastic, wore a reflective vest and had a distinctive walk, said Englewood police who released surveillance video Friday of a thief who snatched cash from a liquor store. The thief headed straight behind the counter at Oprandy’s Wine & Liquor store last Friday night and grabbed the cash – then was scared off by the two owners, dropping some of the undisclosed proceeds as he ran, Detective Capt.
