No serious injuries were immediately reported after the Acura MDX crashed into the ranch house, damaging it and and "totally" rupturing the gas meter, according to police, at the corner of Boulevard and Baldwin Avenue just after midnight July 8.
Hasbrouck Heights firefighters evacuated the immediate area.
Wood-Ridge firefighters assisted them at the scene, while colleagues from Lodi and Carlstadt covered the borough.
A BLS unit from Holy Name Medical Center remained on standby.
Hackensack police assisted with traffic control.
Nutchies Service had to wait for a PSE&G crew to cap the gas line before removing the vehicle.
A borough building inspector then checked the damage to the house.
