Teachers To Screen Film On Changing America's Education

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Members from the Education Association will present a screening of a film, "Beyond Measure." which showcases American schools that decided it was time for a change.

Schools from Kentucky to New York City are spotlighted breaking away from the outmoded, test-driven education culture and pioneering a new vision for classrooms.

The screening is from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 at Bergen County Academies Auditorium, 200 Hackensack Ave., Hackensack. 

The screening will feature a post-film discussion with guest panelists Jose Vilson, New York City educator and author; Jia Lee, New York City educator and MORE Organizer; and Mike Ritzius, New Jersey Education Association associate director of professional development.

The screening is presented by Members from the Education Associations of Bergenfield, Fort Lee, Hackensack, Lodi, Mahwah and Tenafly.
