The website -- that analyzes public data and reviews to produce ratings – took into account “key factors of a location's housing market, including home values, taxes, crime rates, and quality of local schools, in an attempt to measure the quality and stability of an area's real estate market,” the website states.
The Bergen County municipalities that made the “2017 Best Places to Buy a House in New Jersey” list, and their rankings, are:
- 17: Glen Rock
- 24: Haworth
- 32: Ramsey
- 42: Mahwah
- 55: Ho-Ho-Kus
- 66: Oradell
- 67: Ridgewood
- 87: Fair Lawn
- 93: Allendale
