Bergen Democrats Battle Over Freeholders' Letter To Christie

BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. -- Democratic officials in Bergen County continue to debate the role of a letter drafted by freeholders may have played in Gov. Chris Christie's removal of John Molinelli as county prosecutor, according to NorthJersey.com.

State Sens. Paul Sarlo, D-Wood-Ridge, and Loretta Weinberg, D-Teaneck have gone on the record calling the letter "poorly written," and going as far as saying the letter gave Christie enough political cover to force Molinelli out, NorthJersey.com reported. 

Freeholder Chairwoman Joan Voss, who authored the letter, disagreed, saying that she was "troubled" by the idea her letter was used in such a way, NorthJersey.com said.
