BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. -- Bergen County elections won't be held until November, but candidates on both sides of the political aisle, but this month's nominating conventions will begin to shape the look of the election season, according to NorthJersey.com.

The Democratic Committee will hold its nominating convention on March 10, while GOP will hold its own on March 21. With three freeholder seats, the county sheriff, surrogate and clerk all on the ballot, Republicans are hoping to shift the balance of power in the county in their favor, NorthJersey.com reported.
