Responders said Michael Dinobile of Fort Lauderdale was struck around 11:10 p.m. by a 2002 Lexus 300 that police said was driven by a 24-year-old Passaic woman.

Dinobile was dashing from the north to the south side of the highway to get to his car parked at the Miller Ale House, for whom he’d worked as a manager.

He was taken to HUMC in critical condition and died less than an hour later.

No charges immediately were filed against the driver, although Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said an investigation was continuing.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that could help the investigation is asked to call Paramus police detectives: (201) 262-3400, ext. 1110
