Ambulance workers who happened by treated the woman, who was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with leg injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening, said Bogota Police Capt. James Sepp, whose department handled the 5:30 p.m. call.

Social media reports that the woman had jumped from the Second Street bridge at Exit 67 were erroneous.

“She walked down,” Sepp said.

NJSP Sgt. Jeff Flynn told CLIFFVIEW PILOT that she then dashed from the center median to the highway’s fast lane, she was struck by a Mazda M3 sedan.

State Police were handling the investigation.
