County sheriff's officers were preparing to use Narcan to revive Carly Fletcher of Vernon Township when "she came around," Anthony Cureton of the sheriff's office said.

A former Hawthorne resident, Fletcher was at the courthouse as a visitor and not a defendant, law enforcement sources said.

"She went in, worked herself up and went down," one said. "The needle was still in her arm."

She was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by city responders.

Fletcher has a criminal history stretching back more than 10 years that includes arrests for robbery and drugs in Bergen County and elsewhere, records show.
