Travis Gallo, who turned 18 in February, was led away in handcuffs after Superior Court Judge Gary Wilcox’s ordered him held on $2 million bail pending a court appearance on Monday following a closed hearing in the Family Part of Superior Court.

Gallo was charged with murder.

He was transferred this afternoon to the Bergen County Jail from the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center in Teterboro.

The 6-foot-3-inch, 215-pound Gallo was in court with his attorney and family members.

Prosecutors said Galo stabbed his sister, Teia Gallo, several times during an argument in their home last Dec. 26.

Gallo was home with sister Teia Gallo (both above) and a younger brother who called police just before 5:30 p.m. that night, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said at the time.

A fourth sibling arrived at the Pershing Avenue home off Ridgewood Road around the same time as responding officers, he said.

All found Teia Gallo still alive, although ALS paramedics pronounced her dead less than a half-hour later, multiple sources said.

“The incident appears to have been motivated by an argument between brother and sister,” Molinelli said, added that Gallo stabbed his sister “numerous times with a knife” he got from the family kitchen.

Their father, Robert Gallo — a popular gynecologist at HUMC — and his wife, Theresa, have nine biological children along with Teia, Travis and a second teenaged sister.

Teia was a junior at Dominican College in Orangeburg, where she was studying to become a physical therapist. Gallo, a special education senior at Westwood Regional High School, received home education from the district.

A source with knowledge of the situation said one of the siblings suffered a black eye while breaking up an argument between Travis and one of his sisters weeks earlier.
