Leanna Camargo was charged with aggravated assault and illegal weapons possession after officers responding to a Pulaski Avenue apartment found the 29-year-old victim with a puncture wound in his lower back just after 3 a.m. Saturday, Lt. Shawn Kudlacik told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

They also recovered a 12-inch butcher knife with a nine-inch handle, he said.

“She said she had an argument with her boyfriend and it got physical,” Kudlacik said. “There was alcohol involved.”

The victim was treated at Hackensack University Medical Center and released soon after.

The 5-foot-5-inch, 175-pound Camargo also had an outstanding warrant from January out of Alpine.
