Video: Rt 80 West Closed Through Morning Rush After Hackensack Tanker Crash

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Westbound Route 80 was expected to finally reopen mid-morning Friday after an oil tanker and a sedan collided along the Hackensack stretch more than 12 hours earlier.

The trouble for authorities was in the cleanup  and off-loading of the tanker to another truck, as well as removing the rig, following the 8:30 p.m. crash.

Two people were hurt, although apparently not seriously after the tanker collided with a Hyundai (pictured at left in photo above), State Police said. They were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

The trouble for authorities was in the cleanup and off-loading of the tanker to another truck following the 8:30 p.m. crash.

Local roads were clogged with traffic Thursday night through the Friday morning rush.
