U.S. Air Force Security Forces sergeant arrested on Internet sex charge

A married U.S. Air Force Special Services sergeant on active duty and stationed at McGuire Air Force base was arrested at his nearby residence for online sex he believed he was having with a 14-year-old girl from Bergen County, authorities said.

Through chats and instant messaging with what actually was an undercover detective, 30-year-old William F. Carrasquillo “initiated sexually explicit dialog and instructed the 14-year-old girl to masturbate at his direction,” said Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli.

Carrasquillo posted $25,000 bail and was released after this morning’s arrest, about eight miles from the base in Burlington County. He has an initial Superior Court appearance tomorrow in Hackensack on charges of attempted sexual assault and child endangerment.

Molinelli asked parents to check whether their children communicated with the Yahoo.com screen name: “Awildwill82279.” If they did, please contact his office or the South Hackensack police.
