Two shot, 2 sought, in Bergenfield this morning

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office was summoned in connection with the shootings at 85 Westside Avenue, near the Bergenfield Library, just before 10 a.m.

Police from Tenafly and Dumont were also assisting.

All were looking for at least two men — one with a handgun, the other with some type of assault weapon — who fled in a two-door black Honda with a partial license plate of “ET” during what became a severe downpour during this morning’s thunderstorm.

Bergenfield Ambulance took both victims to Hackensack University Medical Center.
