Now investigators are trying to determine whether he did it to anyone else. A check of his Facebook page shows several teenaged friends still in Lyndhurst High School and Mary Help of Christians.
Robert J. Platt, of Lyndhurst, left two voicemails that “described in detail particular sexual acts Mr. Platt wished to engage in with the victim,” said Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli.
Platt has been held on $50,000 cash bail at the Bergen County Jail since turning himself in Tuesday night to face charges of child endangerment, Molinelli said.
He’s due in Superior Court in Hackensack tomorrow morning.
Municipal Court Judge Kenneth Slomienski ordered that Platt have no contact with any students at the high school, including the girl, and banned him from any future course-credit teaching assignments there.
Anyone who may have received similar messages from Platt is asked to call the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. Or you could contact CLIFFVIEWPILOT@gmail.com and we’ll pass on the information.
