Nicholas Questal, also 22, a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago who lives on Long Island, was arrested late last night and charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm — specifically, the 9mm handgun that authorities said discharged while another man was showing it off.
Alex Bridge was struck in the stomach at close range by the high-powered bullet and died soon after, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

The man accused of firing the weapon, 21-year-old Byron V. Sankar (top, left), is charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter and illegal handgun possession.
(Initial reports from authorities were that the gun was a .22-caliber. It was actually a 9mm, Molinelli told CLIFFVIEW PILOT yesterday.)
Sankar, who used to live in New Milford, was brought into court in Hackensack this morning for a first appearance, along with Questal and 22-year-old Aaron Dominic McMorris of Hackensack (above, middle).
McMorris was at the scene of the shooting and ran, but then returned and called police, Molinelli said.
McMorris was waiting when they arrived, he said.
Both McMorris and Questal (above, right) were being held on $75,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
Sankar was being held on $1 million bail.
