Tenafly pedestrian, 81, hospitalized after being struck

ONLY ON CVP: An 81-year-old Tenafly pedestrian was conscious with a cut on her head after being struck by an SUV pulling out of the post office parking lot late this afternoon, authorities said.

The 37-year-old borough driver was following the nornal traffic pattern when his 2013 Toyota Highlander struck the woman as he pulled from the lot at the corner of Washington Street and Tenafly Road, Capt. John Trainor said.

She was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening following the crash just before 3:40 p.m., Police Capt. Michael deMoncada told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

No summonses were issued.
