Teaneck police issue sketch of robber who pistol-whipped pump jockey

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: Teaneck police this morning issued a sketch of a scarred thug who they said pistol-whipped a gas station attendant during a robbery Monday night. A reward was being offered.

The robber is described as black, 18-25 years old, about 5-foot-10 with a slim build and a large scar over his right eye.

He was wearing a red sweatshirt and grey sweatpants when he hit the attendant at the Delta Gas Station on Cedar Lane with the butt end of a handgun after he refused to hand over the cash, police said.

The robber headed south on River Road and then east on Penn Avenue. The attendant was treated at Holy Name Medical Center.

Police from Bogota, Englewood and Hackensack, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and the Bergen County Police Department K-9 unit assisted.
