William “Christopher” Collins, 42 (above, left), is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and obstruction, thanks to a tipster who told authorities of the alleged plot.

Collins was one of four men and a 17-year-old boy arrested in December 2013 by a task force of detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Special Investigation Squad, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and several municipal police departments — including Englewood and Teaneck — in connection with a series of local burglaries.

He already was facing charges from a prior case that gave rise to the murder-for-hire allegations, authorities told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Collins’ bail remains at more than $800,000 combined for the various offenses.
