Tactical force conducting major drug roundup in Hackensack, Bergen

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A massive tactical force of local, county and state law enforcement officers swept up dozens of drug offenders beginning early this morning, in a major tactical move coordinated by Hackensack police.

Participating were the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and the New Jersey State Police.

Officers armed with arrest warrants for more than 150 people began hitting doors just before 6 a.m.

Arrests continued to be made throughout the morning, with many of those charged jailed on bails of $25,000 and more.

Many are charged with distributing heroin, cocaine or marijuana — several in school or public housing zones.
