“They’re taking everything,” the source said of evidence obtained at both locations by the Attorney General’s Division of Criminal Justice, including several boxes of records and computer hard drives.
Spokesman Philip Swibinski said township officials are cooperating with the investigators. Asked by CLIFFVIEW PILOT, he said that Wiley’s “employment status [with the township] is unchanged.”
Sources this morning told CLIFFVIEW PILOT that the probe centers on Wiley, who has worked for the town nearly 17 years, and could involve other family members.
His son, Count, is a West New York commissioner.
The sources said the investigation involves contracting work done on James Wiley’s property paid for through township funds.
