The INS has placed a detainer on 39-year-old convicted felon Kwang Seo, who pleaded guilty yesterday to attempted assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the attack in a Little Ferry apartment.

In turn, prosecutors dropped a pair of weapons charges and an attempted assault count.

Superior Court Judge James J. Guida agreed to sentence Seo to the time he’s served in the Bergen County Jail since he was arrested in July. Guida also ordered him to pay $33,000 in restitution to the victim.

A deportation hearing will be scheduled in U.S. District Court in Newark.
