South Hackensack Tip Leads To Ridgefield Park Couple In Home Heroin Sales

SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. -- South Hackensack and Ridgefield Park police teamed up with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Narcotic Task Force to bust a couple who they said were selling heroin from their home.

A tip out of South Hackensack sparked an undercover operation at the 5th Street home of Quawan T. Hanna and Lorraine Ellis, both 34, Capt. Robert Kaiser told Daily Voice.

Detectives arrested the pair while executing a search warrant around 5 p.m. Wednesday that turned up nearly 570 bags of heroin and about $3,600 in illicit proceeds, Kaiser said.

Hanna and Ellis were being held on $125,000 bail each in the Bergen County Jail, charged with distributing heroin, having drugs on school property and two counts of child endangerment.
