Officers tried talking to a disorderly Michael Acevedo, 43, on Huyler Street near the Airport Motel around noon Sunday, Capt. Robert Kaiser told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

As Acevedo pulled out his identification, Kaiser said, they noticed that he was also carrying drugs.

Acevedo suddenly bolted, running across the highway, the captain said. He was quickly caught and arrested.

Kaiser said Acevedo was carrying heroin, cocaine and an expandable box cutter.

He remained held on $30,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with two counts of drug possesion, one of weapons possession and one of resisting arrest.
