South Hackensack Police Bust 8 In Anti-Drug Sweep Of Route 46 Motels

SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. -- South Hackensack police on an anti-drug mission arrested eight people during a day-long sweep of the motels along Route 46.

David Conklin, 34 of Garfield, and Iva Perez, 37 of Lodi had more than a half-ounce of cocaine on them for sale, as well as pot and drug paraphernalia, when they were arrested Wednesday by Officer David Polanco, Capt. Robert Kaiser told Daily Voice.

Conklin was ordered held on $50,000 bail and Perez $25,000 in the Bergen County Jail.

Twenty bags of heroin were seized in an arrest by Officer Steve Knatz of Anthony Spanopoulos, who was released on a summons pending a November court date.

Officer Brian Kropp arrested Edward Pietrowitz, Deanna Richards, and Brian Williams for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, and active warrants out of Saddle Brook, Haledon, and Totowa.

Pietrowitz and Williams were released; Richards was turned over to Haledon police.

Officer Matthew Orefice arrested Kristie Pattin, 35, of Paterson for possession of drug paraphernalia and an active warrant out of the Bergen County Sheriff's Office. Pattin was committed to the Bergen County Jail.

Alfredo Bello was arrested by Patrolman David Polanco for a $750 warrant out of Haledon.
