South Hackensack officer finds pot in iPhone box, crack in car after stop

​YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A South Hackensack patrol officer arrested three people and seized several bags of pot hidden in an iPhone box, along with more than a half-ounce of crack, following an overnight traffic stop on westbound Route 46.

Officer Justin Zanca found the drugs in the back seat after stopping the four-door 2003 Nissan near the Bergen County Technical School around 1 a.m. Feb. 24.

One of the occupants, Alyssa Ortiz, 20, of Wood-Ridge, posted $15,000 bail and was released the following afternoon.

Another, 21-year-old Caseem Gresham, also of Wood-Ridge was released three days later after posting $25,000 bail.

Both are charged with distributing drugs, as well as possession of crack and marijuana in a school zone.

Meanwhile, William Delgado of Passaic, also 21, was charged with distribution and possession of the drugs, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering prosecution.

Delgado, who was also wanted on a warrant out of Passaic, was released on $25,000 bail two days after the arrests.
