Five others — including the van driver — were injured, though not as seriously, NJ State Police Sgt. 1st Class Gregory Williams told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

At least two of them were treated at the scene of the 3 p.m. crash, he said.

Skidmarks ran nearly 150 feet just east of the Garden State Parkway before the back of the truck ended up stretched across the highway on top of the front half of the van just under Mayhill Street.

Route 80’s eastbound local lanes near Exit 62a could remain closed entirely for several hours, depending on how long it takes to clear the wreckage and investigate the crash.
