Security officers at the Route 46 store detained Shonda Sullivan, 42, and 48-year-old Derek Pitts for police, who took both to headquarters following the Jan. 16 incident.

In Sullivan’s pocketbook police said they found a semi-automatic Ruger.

The indictment handed up this week charges both with illegal possession of the gun and with being felons illegally in possession of a firearm.

Records show both were convicted of having drugs with the intent to sell them in a school zone.

Sullivan remained held on $10,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail. She also owes $26,535 in arrears and was wanted on a warrant out of Paterson, records show.

Pitts was released after the arrests.

The gun, meanwhile, was forwarded to the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification for ballistics testing and possible tracing.
