“Saddle Brook might be a bedroom community, but not that kind,” Police Chief Robert Kugler told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.

Responding to reports of prostitution in town, Saddle Brook detectives set up the sting with help from their Garfield colleagues, Kugler said.

Around 9 o’clock last night, a woman who the chief said was soliciting business online through an ad for an escort service showed up for a “date” at an unnamed local establishment.

Officers arrested the woman, identified as Lauren Keller, 27, of Hackensack (photo, above), along with two men who Kugler said drove her there: Alexander Tiburcio, 25, of Passaic (above, middle) and 35-year-old Lamont Hunter of Paterson (right).

Keller was charged with engaging in prostitution and taken to the Bergen County Jail, where she was being held on a combined $3,000 bail, including two outstanding warrants.

Tiburcio also had a warrant, for $2,500, which boosted his bail to $3,500.

Hunter was released on his own recognizance.

Both were charged with promoting prostitution.

All three have Municipal Court appearances set for Tuesday.
