The victim, whose name CLIFFVIEW PILOT is withholding because he is the victim of a crime, turned up at the borough’s Volunteer Ambulance Corps building around 9:30 last night after being shot in the right arm on Rosa Parks Boulevard, an area plagued by street drug sales, particularly heroin, the chief said.
The gunman, with whom he’d had some type of argument, fired through the passenger-side window of the victim’s car.
After going through his arm, the bullet continued through his shirt, “barely missing his abdomen and left arm,” Kugler said this afternoon.

The victim, a Saddle Brook High School graduate who two years ago won a full scholarship to Berkeley College, then drove to the ambulance corps building.
“He’s lucky to be alive,” Kugler told CLIFFVIEW PILOT. “Hopefully he values his life enough from this point to stay out of areas where you have only bad reason to be in.”
The chief turned the case over to Paterson detectives “in furtherance of” the city police department’s Cease-Fire inititive.
