No serious injuries were reported, Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said this afternoon.

Natalie Garcia, 22, of Garfield pulled her black 2013 Nissan Altima out of the parking lot of Millers Ale House near Forest Avenue and headed west in the highway’s eastbound lanes just before midnight, the chief said.

Headed down the left and center lanes, the car struck two others head-on: a silver 2002 Toyota Camry driven by an 18-year-old Bergenfield man and a green 1999 Toyota Avalon driven by a 50-year-old Teaneck woman, he said.

The Camry driver was OK, as was Garcia, Ehrenberg said.

The Avalon driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by Paramus EMS with moderate injuries, he said.

Garcia was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and restless driving, Ehrenberg said. Other charges were possible as an investigation continues.

Garcia was later released to “a responsible party” pending a court hearing, the chief said.
