Rochelle Park lieutenant rescues opiate overdose victim, 58, with Narcan

SHOUT OUT: A Rochelle Park police lieutenant rescued a 58-year-old opiate overdose victim in the department’s first-ever Narcan save.

Lt. Dean Pinto responded to the 3 p.m. call Saturday and conducted CPR while administering the dose that brought the woman around, Police Chief Robert Flannelly told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

The Rochelle Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps took the woman to Hackensack University Medical Center, the chief said.

She’s since been “improving on a daily basis,” he said.
